  • What Pakistan?**Burp**.How about Taliban?
  • We don't think that way. GW Bush went to a lot of trouble and told us a lot of lies in order to convince us that war with Iraq and Afghanistan was warranted. By the time we realized we'd been deceived, it was too late. Frankly, I'm extremely angry about the entire situation. I'd rather we stopped interfering with other countries.
  • I agree with you on this one: our power has corrupted our judgment. It's arrogant and wrong to start preemptive wars in far-off lands just because we think someone might be a threat in some very indirect way. These wars do more harm than good.
  • it's an illusion (apparently) that the U.S. acts completely independently in these matters. the U.S. could easily do a lot MORE harm to the world than wars on 2 fronts: by withdrawing their disproportionately high per capita aid dollars to countries around the world.
  • You're generalizing about Americans. There are a multitude of opinions about how things are done. In the end it comes down to politricks and a vote just like everywhere else. A lot of people were against the Iraq Invasion but Afghanistan, we were tracking rats back to the nest. And Pakistan isn't a good example either. They're letting outsiders/Taliban/Al Qaeda punk them. I can't respect that. They are not use to asymmetrical warfare so they're throwing their hands up hoping the Taliban will leave them alone and let them run their country. The Taliban takeover. It's what they do. Appeasing them will only hurt yourself. The Taliban are full of shit trying to make it a religious thing. They're trying to shove their beliefs down others throats and Pakistan is trying to choke. To My Enemies: "If I can't sleep then you're going to damn sure sleep with one eye open."
