Swimming is an EXCELLENT exercise for anyone, but especially for someone who is overweight. Jogging can be too stressful on bones and joints. Swimming is ZERO impact exercise; there is no jarring of bones and joints.

Weighing that much you ought to see a Doctor first. But what ever you do, do it slowly.

Jogging, usually a good start, and if that is bad, i first suggest you would get good eating habbits going, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF that is bad, just maybe contact a nutrition and then they no what to tell you, jogging is a very good start, power walking is fine, just dont take the elevator you know... dont be lazy.

ALSO a very important thing for when you exercise, keep your heart rate up, and maybe even fluctuating, up and down, thats very good for burning fat.
