    Yes and no.

I live only a few minutes from an airport, but the prevailing winds and the orientation of the runways ensure that aircraft rarely fly over my home. The exception is that my home is on the preferred flight path of a local flying club in possession of vintage WWII warbirds, and I don't mind seeing Mustangs, Hellcats, and Skyraiders fly overhead. In fact, I'm very pleased to know that there are people who love such aircraft enough to put the effort into keeping them airworthy.

They fly near my house, but not over it. Sometimes they go over my neighbors' house.

Yes, I'm a couple of miles off the approach end of my local airport, so a lot of planes make their base-to-final turn over my house.

I live near three international airports (SFO, Oakland, and San Jose), but those planes don't fly low over my house. There is another airport nearby, though, with a landing approach path that goes over my house, but it is a small airport and most of the planes are single-engine planes.

I use to live about a mile away from London Heathrow and it was a complete nightmare especially from around 5am when all the 747s came in from the Far East and Australia, the planes were so low that it made the house shake.

Used to live in a house that was right on the approach to Kennedy Airport in New York. Planes used to fly over so low you could see the pilots in the cockpit;)
