You're reading I am a college student with a French Minor. I use the French symbols quite frequently. In Microsoft Word 2007, lately whenever I write something in English and have to type the word "is", this symbol ( Ç) appears instead. How do I fix this?

MS Word works just fine for what you are doing and not using something is not always the best option. If the auto correct settings isn't the solution, check the language setting for the keyboard and for Word. It sounds like this is a simple configuration issue and just needs to be changed in a menu. Alternatively, you can hold the ALT key down on the numeric keypad type 128, then release the ALT key and you'll get the same character.

Byhtomit, Joelle wants "is", not the cédille.
