Bird in a cage or does it fly free?

If in a cage then keep the candle on the other side of the room, If it is free to fly where it wants the potential is that it will fly into the candle/flame - a burnt bird is not a good thing.

I would be wary of the scents with a "Free bird" as well on anything. If it smells like food bird may try to eat it. Although we humans may smell artificial smells one way animals can (and often do) smell other scents within it that smell like "food".
