of course, the americans hate everyone that stands up to them, they cannot bully the russians
-
I don't think Americans ever hated Russians. Many didn't like their government. It's hard to feel close to a government that says "We will bury you!" But as a people, most Americans never thought much about the Russian people. Especially not enough to hate them. My daughter studied in Russia and even lived witha Russian family to perfect her Russian. Her room mate had a bad attitude and never got along well with the family but my daughter did quite well. Only when you are ignorant of others can you hate them.

I believe a lack of trust still lingers. It is not helped by Neocons tossing the word socialist, as interchagable with socialized around like it was a curseword.
-
No I think that it has been on the back burner for some time now... but I do think that we are starting to fear them again with the Georgia incident (whoever is at fault with that) and the "no antimissle missles" +2
-
My people hate their government
-
Americans hate Russians, Cubans, Chinese, Vietnamese, Muslims, Arabs, each other and anything and everything that's different than they are
-
i don't and i don't know anyone who does...
-
i'm sure- no, i KNOW- some americans are still living under McCarthyism, but the ones i've met thus far are pretty cool. +3
-
i don`t know about Americans, but most of Latvians do
-
Because they can still party like it's 1962.
-
Only when it comes to chess. ;)
-
We don't hate them, we just don't trust them.
-
There may still be some ignorant hicks who hate the Russians. These are the same people who hate learning and embrace ignorance.
-
In some circles it appears that russian == communist == atheist == 'horrible beyond words'. Joseph McCarthy have left a big footprint on many peoples heads. It may take generations to heal.
-
Ya kneeze nye you
-
not really. Russia is pretty different from other countries. they keep everything they do to themselves. you never Ever hear about any news from russia. i have yet to know anyone who knows russian and i know absolutely nothing about their culture. theyre pretty secluded. from what i hear they are a pretty powerful country.
-
That was last century. They hate Arabs this century.
-
Some do. I have met some Russians and new Russian immigrants who are nice people, etc. However, a blanket statement like the question always has some truth in it and a brings out lot of propaganda and hate in the answers.
-
I don't think Americans hate Russians. I've met a few Russians, and they can be obnoxious at times (the younger men) but I don't hate them!
-
What? Why? Should we? Is there something someone isn't telling me?? Oh no, I'm always last to know!
-
I love everyone and im american so you cant say do 'americans' still hate russians.
-
Not after Rocky kicked Drago's butt. ;)
-
As a child I feared the Russians. As I became more aware of the world and the way information is used and misused, I came to have empathy for the Russian people. I still don't trust their government, but I don'T trust my own, either.
-
In my experience, Russians are arrogant, racist, rude, and, if I may euphemize, a little violent. What's worse is that they only become worse with money. However, I find that others from former Soviet Republics and Warsaw Pact countries are quite cool. I've hit it off quite swimmingly with loads of Byelorussians(White Russians), Azeris, Uzbeks, Ukranianians, Poles, and Armenians
-
hate is the wrong word,I think... its TRUST...Does America still not TRUST Russian Leaders? and I personally ,detest the way the treat their ppls...but thatsJustme:) same as I do China's leaders, as I did Hussein, etc....
-
Hate, no. Trust, hummmmmmm
-
only the ones russian aroudn.

No, not at all. I am cool with Russian people. Putin is a scumbag and the oligarchs have robbed the poor people there. The Orthodox church is scary too.
