After hearing about what happened to the High School in Alabama from the tornadoes, do you think when severe weather is forcast that kids should be able to stay home from school to be safe?

    Under any weather condition, parents may opt to keep their kids home.

    This does nothing to guarantee their safety as storms may strike anywhere.

    Yes I do think school should be dismissed if safety concerns arise. I understand that was the plan in Enterprise Alabama too. The tornadoes were predicted to hit in the early afternnon, and school was going to be dismissed at 1 pm. Unfortunately, the storm beat the time.

    Depends on the weather, like ice storms and blizzards, but I don't see how houses are more tornado proof than schools.
