Are spell checkers really expensive or do they charge by the word? I see a lot of people skimping on them.

    I notice that too.

Firefox has spell-check built in, as do many other programs. Unlike the old days, spell-check is actually a common thing, though it seems like very few people bother to use it.

Then again, these are often the same people who are too busy talking on their cell-phones to bother paying attention to the road when they are "driving".

I think writers are just rushing through their work. Just about every decent application out there for writing has a free, built-in spell checker.

"Over-educated" (see profile for "over educated") but don't know that spell checkers are a free part of firefox ... Or was this question directed at those who are not as "over-educated" as you?
