    Not really.

I love the fashion in Vogue, but they have been instrumental over the past 50 years in pushing the stick-thin model image. There isn't a model in their magazines that is bigger than a US size 8. I do not know anyone who is smaller than a size 10, which is, quite frankly, tiny.

It is also ludicrous that these magazines label size 12 and 14 women as "Plus Size". Size 12 and 14 women are NORMAL. A size 14 woman is the Australian average, not the exception.

So, to me, it's all a little too late. Like Tobacco companies sponsoring How To Quit Smoking seminars. It's all a bit of a joke.

Its lip service only in a stunt dreamed up by their PR dept. Actions speak louder than words.

Yes, I am. As a matter of fact, it is such a no brainer that I can't believe it took so long for the fashion industry to wake up. If a designer's clothing looks better on a hanger than on a woman, s/he isn't much of a clothing designer. I would call that designer a failure, not put him or her on the cover of a magazine.

    bye bye

Very thin models give women the wrong message of how everyone's body should look like. In the past if you were thin it was unattractive, larger women were more favored. All of this favoritism is ridiculous.

I'm just a supporter of good health.

I did not know about that but I agree. It's much sexier if a woman has a little weight behind her

yes, as the mother of two beautiful girls, i see the stick-thin movement as dangerous not only to the models but the self-esteem of the people who admire their pretty clothes, hair and makeup

    Not really.

I love the stick-thin model image. These women are truly beautiful and it is the fat American women who are actually the unhealthy ones. Sorry fatties, not everyone can be thin and beautiful. Have another fried chicken wing and continue to talk about how well you are steering clear of the dangers of anorexia.

I really do not care how Vogue chooses its models

What I would like to see is real photographs. I could accept cosmetic adjustments but not wholesale reconstruction that makes a model look 4 sizes smaller than reality.

This might reduce the number of teenagers trying to match the skin and bones perfection that is only a fashion fantasy

    ILoveMySteaks ... is thinking.

Ridiculous ... if women can't think for themselves, then what is all this "women are better than men" bullshit? If they can't think for themselves and just blindly follow the leader, then how are they equal? Take charge of your own life, do for yourselves and quit expecting everyone to tell you what to think and what to do ... that goes for everyone!

Maybe this is why we are closing in on a population problem, stupid people who can't think for themselves are protected ad nauseum. If we took all the safety labels off all the products, maybe the problem would solve itself!

Sorry, I am a FIRM believer in self-reliance and personal responsibility. People have to learn to stop talking out of both sides of their mouth, to be honest and, as a result, take ownerhip of their own actions.
