Help answer this question below.
This ain't right. Something is very, very wrong. You shouldn't have to pay anything to receive inheritance MONEY. I might feel differently if you were having OBJECTS shipped to you. Is the estate being handled by an attorney?
I am happy to give you the suggestions you asked for, but not until I know it isn't a scam, with you being the victim.
There are many, many scams floating around, mostly via email. Usually, you get an email from a 'lawyer' in another country saying his client died without a will and he needs to get the money out of the country immediately or it will be confiscated by the authorities, yada, yada, yada..does this sound familiar? If so, RUN the other direction!
You need to do some investigations BEFORE you mail anyone anything!
I agree completely with Phillis and this was my first gut reaction when I read your question even before I read her answer!
Remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
why do you have to pay money to receive an inheritance? Have you checked to make sure this is not a scam?
jgwentworth.com they'll front you money at less than 20% if you can prove it :-)
