Why would some of my songs in my itunes that are supposed to be on my ipod not be on the ipod itself?

    It could be that they are DRM protected and can't be transferred to another device or computer. Try checking the properties of the file and see if it is DRM protected or see if it can be played on another computer. If it is protected or cannot be played elsewhere, then you'll have to re-rip it in order to remove the DRM protection.
