I don't think the Bible specifies this. maybe because satan wants you to go straight to hell in a SUV at 130 mph, and God wants you too take your time, so you never reach his kingdom. Maybe God doesn't like autmobiles and the smell of gas.

the highway is to take all the hoons coming home from football matches dead drunk and overtaking each other, all the bicycle riders stopping traffic by hogging all the lanes, and to give impatient drivers room to pass L-platers while honking their horns and making rude gestures....the stairway also has the red carpet, so you can admire all the stars on the crowns of those climbing...lolol

Most of us are going to hell... so we can catch a bus on the highway or car pool. going to heaven is harder because we have to walk up all those friggin stairs, and i imagine it in single file...

Because god is rather sadistic, and wants everyone in heaven to have very well toned thighs from climbing all those stairs. Whereas Satan is happy just to welcome you in, toned thighs or not.

Because of gravity and unions. Building was easier going down, thus the highway was built first. But union officials halted construction on the highway to heaven because of lack of safety and cost blowouts. Conventional generators and pumps couldn't get the concrete that high, and scaffolding became rickety. In the end, its the consumer who suffers.

It was a ladder for angels.I don't think any person could make it up a ladder that high unless maybe it was a guy following a girl with a short dress, or a girl following a guy with a lot of money. Anyway girl or guy I need a elevator for anything over 10ft Jacob dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! That's just so you can get to Hell faster on the highway. Taking the stairs makes for a lot of leg work. By the way, the Highway to Hell is the 405 freeway in LA.

Good is hard to do ... the stair is only another challenge ... yet we are so tired of working for the man and missing all that sin. Bad is easy ... cruise the speed highway is always more enticing than a long hard climb ... you can even DUI on this highway if you want. :)))))))

Because Satan is in a big hurry to getcha in and under his control.... While God wants us to take our time and get to know him, have our experiences as they come along here in this world...and feel the love he offers to us along the way. Satan only cares about lying and pain...the only "lesson" he has is that "You've been HAD!" God wants us to savor the beauty and peace to be found with him.

I believe that there will be many on the highway to hell and it will be crowded....like the highways always are.....but the way to heaven is one step at a time.....you go thru changes 1 step at a time.....and as you do you are reaching your goal which is located up above so you have to climb upward to make it there. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!
