I'd give up and walk away. What can I do? Assumptions are known for their accuracy.

i would evaluate their perception, examine it for distortions and in the absence of distortions determine if i need to make some modifications...if their perception is distorted then it speaks about them and not about me. many people cannot comprehend how they reveal themselves when they speak/type.

The same way I would if they simply ask me outright. Yes, I have OCD, and I am a compulsive talker. Do you have a problem with that?

Turn them over to a CL. I don't have time or energy to waste on mean people.

I know how I felt when someone was mean to me on here. It took me down for about a wk. or more. I allowed it to hurt me way too much. I really hope you dont allow that to happen to you. No one should have that power over you!

(lol!) Sherri7, they would just be joining a big crowd of people that think I may be mentally unstable, but are terrified that I might not be.

lol Funny you should ask that. My ex's ex-laws once lynched me over my MySpace page. They thought I was Satanic or something and it was actually very mild at the time. Nothing Satanic whatsoever about it. People that jump to such retarded conclusions over such trivial things are usually the ones that need help themselves. Avoid or report them, if they harass you.

well, everyone has a right to think whatever they want to think. however, if they choose to share these opinions with you, and they are negative in nature, consider the source.

keep in mind that any stranger who would accuse you of such ridiculous things has a LARGE personality defect themselves ~ they are arrogant, judgmental, myopic, and mean-spirited. anyone who tries to make another feel bad about themselves unprovoked has serious mental issues of their own. that anyone can presume to know anyone else based on a a few bits of info in a short bio is preposterous. you should be laughing at the absurdity and feeling sorry for them that they have to resort to such low tactics to get out their aggressions or boost themselves up (by putting down someone else).

i would feel purrrrfectly happy as usual. no one can make me feel bad except myself. i would handle it by describing the persons behavior to that person and holding the mirror up in front of them. they usually get really upset at someone pointing out their own flaws to them. but maybe theyll think twice before acting the same way again.

I have no control over others perception of me,I only have control over how I react to others comments.

Am I self aware,am I self confident, these things are paramount in the fact that I am who I am,not some label for others to peal off.
