You're reading I am going to have the oil pan off a vehicle w/ 300K miles on it. While off, should I replace the factory oil pump even though it is working, based just on the engine's high milage?
Comments
The pump is only $15.00 bucks so the money is no problem at all. 300 thousand miles is not considered the normal life of a vehicle so I just hate to go through all the work of oil pan removal and not touch the pump only for it to malfunction a few months down the road. I just figured that even though it works now, something with that much miles on it could go any minute. But on the other hand "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Good answer though, thanks for your input.
