I am going to have the oil pan off a vehicle w/ 300K miles on it. While off, should I replace the factory oil pump even though it is working, based just on the engine's high milage?

    If you'd like or have the extra money for it. Oil pumps generally last the life of almost any vehical.

    It depends on if you plan on keeping it for another 300K miles.
    If you'll only have it another month, don't fix what's not broken.
