And now you know (yet another) reason why Microsoft sucks.
I use Media Player Classic:Home Cinema ( http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ ) for my DVD payback and it works fine and has across multiple systems.
WMP11 is fine as long as you don't expect much from it, but playing anything other that WMA and WMV files (both formats authored by Macroshaft) qualifies as "expecting much".
Remember you have XP, MP11, and a seperate software for playing DVD's The missing software is for playing DVD's and MP11 should play DVD's. Tell me what DVD you are playing and if you've tried playing it in MP11.
I connected my Magnavox vcr/dvd combo up to my tv and when I put a tape or dvd in there is no picture. What could be wrong?
