Once someone has my cell phone number, can they then tap my phone?

    The other day my gf handed me the cell phone and said 'it's your father'... I said 'my father is no cell phone'.... Then the cell phone hit the ground! bam

    Not if they don't have the SIM code to gain access to it. However, if your phone has bluetooth transmitter, then your phone is not secure at all and if it's stationary long enough for someone to create a connection, then yes, they could tap into it.
