Umm !! to save money ? did I get it right ? lol
a) To assist savers store money.
b) to enable the banks to make income.
I have been asking myself this all day! They wont let me draw any money out for 6-8 days!
so you can't dip into it so easily. If you really need it you have to work or (so to speak) drive to get it! +5
To put money aside for 'a rainy day' in a place that is a bit less accessible than your house so your less apt to spend your money.
