No. Not without substantial rule changes. The field is too large, the play is too slow, goals are few and far between. Frankly, the game is boring compared to football, basketball, hockey, it's even more boring than baseball or curling.

It sure seems to be making strides in that direction. It seems more popular in schools now, probably because it does not require the amount of expensive equipment. Seems slow and boring to me. But I'm an old fart.

No. US sports fans like scoring. And there are too many sports for fans to watch here: Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, golf, auto racing, college sports...

Football is Football Futbol is Soccer.... don't get the two wrong please And no, I don't think so, I sure hope it doesn't. It's a completely boring sport, and I watch Tennis on Tv and that's more exciting.

The funy thing is that most Amercans played soccer as kids. I don't know why so many grow up not caring for the sport.

I think baseball, basketball and football (American) are too well entrenched for football (soccer) to take over. Also, TV makes the sport and soccer doesn't translate as well to TV as the others.

No, most likely not. There are too many sports in the US that are big money makers as it is and very little room for one more. American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Ice Hockey have more or less cornered the market on sports fans wallets. Even if the US soccer team does well, it still doesn't draw crowds as much as major tournaments in the Big 3, FBB - and sports is all about money.

Maybe eventually, they are not ready for it yet although the Middle schools are teaching it. The American Womens team is one of the best in the world, with all the Backgrounds of the Ethnics in the USA it is surprising that the USA does not already show more interest in Football
