  • Sorry, Hanky, but I find it hard to believe that an hour time change is going to bother you! Just think of it as going on/off daylight savings time. You could try adjusting to MN time a couple of days before you leave: set your clock back an hour and live by that clock until you leave. That way you should not have anytime change to deal with since you will be used to eating/sleeping/etc on MN time instead of NY time.
  • I am the jet-lag queen! Just follow my easy steps. First, make sure you eat and drink (lots of water!) during your travels, as well as walk around a bit instead of sitting the whole time. That will already help your body feel good. Then, when you have arrived at your destination, if you feel tired, DO NOT take a nap! Stay up until "bed time" in the city you find yourself in. That way, you will fall asleep, have a good night's sleep, and wake up feeling rested at the appropriate time. If you do this, you should be good to go immediately!
  • First of all, welcome to Minnesota! I would advise you to go to bed when your body feels like it in New York time. Or take a short nap. It has always worked for me.
  • Just get up and go to bed at your regular New York times and you will fit right in in Minnesota. Midwesterner's tend to get up earlier and go to bed earlier. Problem solved.
  • It is highly unlikely you will experience jet-lag with a one-hour time difference but if you do, when you plan to sleep you can try a melatonin.
