I do like to get a little buzz going. For me, over eighty, a single martini does the trick -- or when one of my granddaughters comes over a puff on a special cigarette works too.

Yes, i love to "alter my state of mind" by using drugs or alcohol. I personally find life to be so much more fun and interesting when intoxicated or under the influence of some controlled substance...but always in moderation :)

No, I can't stand it. I hate not being fully aware of my surroundings or in control of my own body.

If it helps me relax, yes but it isn't a fix, just a distraction. I'm not one to take drinking over the line.

No, I'm a psychic person. Drinking used to be fun as a kid, but I got used to it. My mind made corrections for the effects and I stopped getting a buzz. My body slows down, but mentally, it does nothing for me.

It's also pretty easy to accomplish much more interesting altered states without the drugs. The clarity is much better.

No. I'll never understand why people would willingly make themselves stupid. Not to mention the long-term psychological pain and organ damage.

Sorry if I offend any winos or junkies. This just isn't a subject where I care to be sensitive.

Yes, I don't like to escape reality so much but experience it from a different perspective or through a different filter if you will. Different drugs allow to experience different things. Even if it is just a chemical reaction in your mind it's still a fascinating divergence from the norm.

I plan on experiencing everything i can while i'm alive. So yes i like altering my state of mind with drugs at a responsible level.

Ore minds alter everyday with different emotions and feelings. Using drugs just makes you experience more emotions and feeling IMO.

It's nice. I'm not a big drinker...I like weed...nothin' stronger. I experimented with mushrooms a couple times, and it was amazing, but it was too intense to do regularly. The only problem is, I'm getting more and more to the point where I feel like everything is more interesting when you're high. It's a slippery slope.

Yes, I enjoy the "state of mind" that I get from drinking. I do it responsibly and I would not even consider me close to being an alcoholic. I used to buy every high I could find but, thankfully, haven't done that for decades now. I just wish I would have saved all that money that I spent on it. I'd be in pretty good shape right now.

oh yeah, but I have a tendancy to take it too far & get myself in trouble, with drinking anyways. drugs and I don't really get along, I've never gotten a good high from anything I've tried.

Its fun at the time but hell to pay the day after. Left all the mind-altering drugs behind in California so stick with the Pina Colattas, banana Daiquiries, and canadian whiskey. Plus the California Coolade, Real Sangrea with sprite, but mind you, not all at once, spread throughout the afternoon!
