Do you find that AB is a little biased and that to get a favorable rating you have to be politically correct?

Yes I do. The people who get the best ratings are the people who never take any chances of offending anyone or ever outright diagreeing with anyone.

No, there are plenty of un-PC answers that get rated up. There is a difference between being polite and being politically correct.

No, but it does help to be conscious of other people's feelings.

I Hate politics because sooner or later you just become a lair. I have noticed that people that don't take chances do get more votes but this isn't a contest. This is just a chance to communicate, talk,getor give help and to be heard.

I've been politically incorrect often and not been rated down - sometimes rated up! I did get rated down for suggesting the best way to keep arguments short was to fight naked though. I guess a more PC conservative got a bit offended by that...

No, but I've found that if you don't agree with someone's political bent or religious belief, there seems to be little room for dialogue, just rated down, usually without comment. And if comments are left, they can get quite nasty.

I don't find this to be the case. There are more liberal viewpoints here than conservative but I don't think either one is necessarily up rated or down rated more. I get some answers down rated that are conservative and not PC answers. I think if your answer is good and toughtful and informative and not rude then no one will care if it's PC or not.

No, i find that to get a good rating in have to answer opinion questions. Answering factual questions nets you no where near as much.

Actually, I find that being tactful is more useful than being PC.

It's just like everything else in life. It all matters who is seeing your answer most and what the majority of people feel.

I have not been here long, but I have not noticed that at all. I have seen non politically correct questions and answers get high ratings.
