My brother's 17&has been dating a girl 3 years older than him for 2 years. I am friends w/ her on Facebook- I never talk to her-&saw that she wants to be engaged by next spring,when he graduates hs. I think it's a bad idea 4 him to get married. Thoughts?

• I want to stay away, and I have been. But I've seen the way she treats him. He pays her bills, he drives her around everywhere. The reason why he dated her in the first place was out of pity, which I don't think anyone should do. I'm afraid he'll get hurt and throw his life away. He wants to become a doctor.

• It sounds to me like the marriage question is not the only thing that really worries you about the relationship. While I still think that you should wait that issue out, the other issues (such as the bill-paying) would merit some time talking with your brother. Since it is obviously such a big deal to you and you have stayed away from it until now, I think you should sit down and talk to him about how you feel. Don't be to rough with him and don't be too rough on yourself if he just brushes it off. He will likely be defensive and that is normal. Just do whatever you think is best. You know your brother better than any of the answerers, so only you know what to say to your brother. Despite what he does, remember that he is your brother and you love him. Any dumb decisions that he makes won't change that. I wish you the best of luck with these problems.

• u call it rude, i call it reality. if your bro is happy you should be happy for him. how do you know this girl will hurt him?? how do you know it wont be your bf that hurts you while your bro and his gf live happily ever after?? i think your jealous of him or her... one of the two
