That is much too young to be getting married. However, I would stay away from prying too much. This situation could work itself out, so stay out of meddling unless it actually looks like a real possibility. Even then, the decision is not yours, it's his.

Well...yeah it's kind of young. But she is young too. It's obviously not a good idea.

Has your brother said anything about wanting to get married? You should ask him if you're worried about it. You could also remind him that people change DRASTICALLY every year til they're about 22 and that maybe staying together with his gf but not getting married until they have their lives established would be better.

I know nothing about their relationship or situation at all so it is hard to say what I think but with that in mind I think it is probably a bad idea (emotionally and financially) although if I were you I wouldn't worry about it becoming a reality whether they get engaged or not.

So often I have seen teenagers and those in early twenties fall in love and make plans to marry, even get engaged, and it just doesn't happen once reality is considered fully. Also, if she wants to get married and he doesn't then she will be the one to be hurt by it, not your bother. I hope it works out for him, which ever way it goes.

Personally I think he is far too young, but if she is kind and loving towards him, then perhaps things will work out. If she is only with him for her own selfish gain, then I think it is appropriate that you help your brother all you can, without being too pushy. If you start being rude about his girlfriend he may want her even more. Be subtle about it. What a caring sibling you are. I wish you luck.

I think that, even though they are young, if they love each other you shouldn't mess with it. It's your brother but it's his heart... Now if she's a bitch that is using him to get married or for money or something than you need to help open his eyes to that. Otherwise, leave it alone.
