It is impossible to know the motives of every celebrity that enters politics. It is entirely possible that some of them have good intentions and want to promote change for the good.

I have no clue . I was watching Ellen Degeneres and George Lopez was on there talking about after Obama , he's going to run for president . I would think that they wouldn't be allowed run because they'll get votes based fame but what do I know ? lol .

I hope it's because their celebrity brings many of them into the arena of world issues. If your celebrity allows for traveling around the world and hob-nobbing with a variety of interesting minds, you may want to use that knowledge and do something more with your celebrity than just hoarding the wealth and knocking up your mistress.

Not very many actors want to go into politics. I don't think that the percentage of them that try to go into politics in very different from the percentage of average people that want to. Perhaps they just want to go into politics.

There are no more celebrities in politics than from any other walk of life (probably less in fact). The only difference is that we see them and know then beforehand due to their public image.
