I think you are thinking of "Liver" .Many Asian languages use the word for "liver" where we might say "heart" eg the Indonesian "sakit hati" translates as "heart sick" in english (hati even looks like heart, doesn't it?) but means "liver sick". I know that Hebrew does the same thing. In the Bible, where the English translates verses such as 1 Samuel 16:28 as "the Lord looks upon the heart", it literally says "upon the liver". The liver was regarded in such societies as the source of emotion, possibly more realistic than using the heart in a way, because if your liver is acting up, you get very emotional.:-)
