I liked his advice about marriage. He said, "My wife and I agreed that I would handle all of the BIG problems, and she would handle all of the TINY ones. "I came out 'ahead' on that, because in the entire time that we were married, we NEVER had a 'BIG' problem."

No or at least it would appear no. He famously introduced the cosmological constant in order to obtain a stationary universe which he later abandoned following Hubble's work. Although recent discoveries have brought the constant back into focus this was still a mistake of sorts as Einstein didn't have all the facts at hand and made an ad hoc manoeuvre to fit with what were thought to be the facts. I think he called it the "biggest blunder" of his life. Furthermore he never fully accepted Quantum Theory which is so far the most successful method of describing the very small. Here he seems to have been mistaken. And he also initially rejected the work of Oppenheimer and Schwarzchild as well regarding gravitational collapse of stars. I am not sure if he later relented on this. He was not perfect and never really claimed to be. He hated hero worship of the sort that has come to be associated with him. We often have appeal to Einstein used in many situations and arguments. I cannot see the man would have been happy with this turn of events as he was a great questioner and was not afraid to go against the 'giants' when creating his own outlook on the world.

His wives did not think so and being female they had to be right.:)
