No sauce, lightly salted

A little melted butter with either fresh grated Myzithra or Parmesan cheese and a dash of salt and pepper. BTW, does your husband think that is a ridiculously "little" amount of sauce? I would if I ate marinara sauce on mine. LOL

Saucy is good for me

I like to toss the noodles in browned butter and garlic, then lots mizithra cheese. Yum!

Your way is closer to the Italian preference. The pasta is the thing in Italy. Most Americans use much more sauce than Italians. I like some non-tomato sauces best, like white clam or carbonara. A nephew eats it plain except for soy sauce!

If that's how you like it, then what's the problem? It's not like you're making him eat it that way. The amount of sauce I use depends on the mood I'm in, and who made the sauce. I like my sauce, and my mom's sauce, but I don't particularly like my Father-in-law's spaghetti sauce. So sometimes I use quite a bit of sauce, and other times very little, but there is always lots of parmesan on top :)
