  • I would have to get up and make sure my parents were still in the house. I was always paranoid they were going to leave. So I snuck outside their door and the creaking of their floor, them talking to one another, or even one (or both) of them snoring made it all better for me.
  • Strangely enough, the sounds of cars passing on the road. Made me feel better knowing I wasn't the only person awake.
  • My little sister crying worse! ;-)
  • The clothes dryer!! For some reason it was soothing and made me feel warm and cozy in bed
