Is it true, The Bible does not say there were three wise men; it only says there were three gifts?

    Matthew 2 says that there were only wise men, not a specific number. Additionally, it indicates that gold, frankincense, and myrrh were brought as gifts, but not how many of each gift and whether or not there were more gifts than that.
