Your monitor is made of millions of pixels. Have you ever considered how they feel about all this? No. You haven't.

You're reading I turn off my new LCD monitor everytime I'm done using it, and turn it back on when I get on the computer. I know nothing of LCD monitor care and maintenance. Any tips, advice, and so forth?

So I just leave the screensaver going all the time? And thanks for the cleaning info, I was wondering about it, too.

You can set the screen saver to start at any time you choose 15 or 20 minutes would be a good time. Just do a little practice, then you will figure out which is best for you. If you are going to be away from your computer longer than 30 minutes, you can set it to go off then, just play around with it to figure the best time for you..And you are very welcome for the tip!!
If you want to turn the monitor off everytime, that's ok to, whatever you want to do..
