Your nausea may because the glasses are no longer properly aligned and you eyes are throwing off your perspective. Lead poisoning is cumulative and takes a long time before it becomes a problem.
My best guess your problems are cause by eyesight and worry. Go to the eye doctor and have a beer. That always works for me. Not too many beers though, that will add a new level of nausea.
No, that's not lead poisoning. For solder to have ANY effect would take years, perhaps a lifetime.
You may feel sick because of the glasses not sitting the same way on your nose and ears. All it takes for me to feel that way is to have more or less distance between my glasses and my eyes. Just that will get me feeling that way.
Worry more about ingesting the lead. Wash your hands after soldering and before handling food. Contact with your skin should not matter.
There is very little reason to believe it is lead poisoning. You should look elsewhere for the nausea.
me thinks youre worrying too much - the reason for your not feeling well has absolutely nothing to do with your soldered goggles :) chillax!
Lead may be taken in through direct contact with mouth, nose, and eyes (mucous membranes); and breaks in the skin.
.
Unless you've been licking it, or rubbing it into your eye, it's not lead poisoning.
You can't absorb enough lead this way to make you sick. It is a very tiny amount of lead and it is mixed in with other materials. Your nausea undoubtedly has other causes.
Some other reason. The amount of lead you would be exposed to in a way which you describe is negligible. There's a good chance you drink more lead in one day than you could ever absorb through your skin wearing those glasses yo...
99.9% likely it's some other reason. Feel better soon.
Thanks, everyone!!! I guess I was being an idiot :D

You're reading My glasses frame broke, so I had to have it soldered together. It was only a little dan, but the solder contains lead in it. I am now wearing the glasses, and I am feeling nausea. Is this lead poisoning, or Am I just nauseous for some other reason?
