What's the difference between homecoming dresses and prom dresses? Is one less formal?

    Homecoming seems to be slightly less formal but that seems to be changing since I was in school. Also it's subject to the fashion styles of the times. Homecoming dresses where shorter and Prom dresses were long when I was a kid, I have no idea if they still are.

    Homecoming is less formal. My daughter decided to go to her homecoming dance the week of homecoming. All the stores were picked over. She couldn't find anything she liked in stock, and we couldn't wait 3 weeks for one to be ordered so we searched online and found Promgirl.net. The Homecoming Dress she found was beautiful! It was reasonably priced (much less than the bridal stores) and arrived within days. They are an excellent company with remarkable customer service. I was so impressed!
