Why is texting so much fun?

its only fun to certain people, and its only fun depending on who your texting, im sure if it was my mum it wouldnt be fun, but a good looking guy well,, explains itself

It's only fun depending on who you're texting . For me , texting my fiancee is fun . But usually , it's just conveinent and easier .

Because it's convenient, private and very random. Email can usually only happen when you're at your computer. With a cell phone turned on, you can text anywhere you get a signal.

Of course BlackBerries give you the best of both worlds.

I think that It's because(For ME)When you text,your thoughts can go straight from your mind to your fingures somehow,instead of having the annoying confusion of trying to form WORDS.I have speach problems,so It's very liberating FOR ME!!! lol!*

I don't always want to call people, so if I have one or two things I'd like to say to them, I just text it. Also with texting, you can stop texting whenever you want. On the contrast, with a phone conversation one has to find a way to end a conversation.

Can't say it is for all. I don't, and really don't care to. The reason on the face of it why anything is so much fun is because one finds it enjoyable - maybe amusing, maybe informative, maybe just a habit or about a hundred other reasons. Doubt there is one reason why some like or others dislike, or why many are just indifferent to a thing.
