Did he only use Dracula and the area because it would fit his plot, not the other way round? Did he read Carmilla 25 years before he wrote Dracula and what did he use from that novel? Did you know that he was a newspaper reporter and never wrote any news item on vampires? Did you know he never found anything but fictional novels about vampires in 25 years of researching to write his novel? Isn't it sad that many pretend to vampirism as their only way of getting attention for themselves?
