Can an Xbox be modified to burn games onto the hard drive? If so, how?

I'm assuming that the question reads: Can a game that I ALREADY LEGALLY OWN BE BACKED UP ON/ PLAYED OFF THE HD of an xbox. The answer, of course, is most certainly. This is the number one reason why people install modchips in the first place. The modchip will enable you to utilize software (that will not be mentioned here) that rips the game off the DVD, processes the ACL's and saves it onto a partition of your choosing. If it sounds too simple, that's because it is. The partition should be set up so that the dashboard (Evolution X or Avalaunch) should see the game folder and allow you to select the game and play it right off the HD. Tutorials are out there that give more detail. Benefits: Faster load times, smoother gameplay, and the ability to archive your STOREBOUGHT games on the shelf so that you don't destroy the $50 game by over-handling it.

if u dont want to buy a modchip, which i didnt, u can do a softmod (u can find a lot of tutorials online for that) then u can just dl a program called dvdtoxbox and ftp it to ur xbox and use that to copy xbox games to ur hard drive and if u want u can copy them to ur comp and burn them to dvd, if ur hard drive is too small
