  • No. You'll actually gain weight in the end because your body will go into starvation mode and store away extra calories and fat from what you do eat.
  • Yes you will lose weight but..not only will you become unhealthy..you will look unhealthy..so whats the point?
  • It depends what breakfast you eat and when you eat said breakfast, how many times a day you eat breakfast and what and how much food you eat a day already.
  • You'll lose more than weight. Health, for instance
  • nope, when your body realizes that your basically in a starvation situation, your matabolism and such with revert in a way that you won't burn those calories you eat. The only good way to learn how much to eat is to get your metabolism tested, and then just keep your daily calories under that amount.
  • This is impossible to determine, but it's not likely. SENSIBLE weight-loss programs include meal planning so that you reduce calories BUT DO NOT eliminate meals, since skipping meals works AGAINST you by slowing your metabolism down. Such programs also include increasing your level of activity/exercise to burn off more calories. So, since skipping meals makes your metabolism burn off fewer calories, if this is all you are doing, it is unlikely you will lose weight.
  • thats not healthy. If you only eat once a day you're body will eventually "eat itself" because it needs energy from the nutrients and calories you get from eating. 3 meals a day is fine just dont overdo it.
  • You would get rid of some weight ; BUT you'd also end up in a hospital or a doctor's offfice at the very least ... TRY eating your THREE meals a day ; BUT eat LESS at a time and watch what you eat ... NO White flour items ... NO Soda Pop , regular or diet ... Easy on sugar items ... Drink a 16 ounce glass of water before EACH meal ... EXERCISE: Walk one mile away from your house and then walk back ... don't run; BUT powerwalk with your arms swinmging at your side ... Within ten days ; YOU will notice the difference ... and just keep it going... Once you've achieved the desired weight ; cut back the walking to two days a week ... or out entirely ... unless you begin to gain again . Best of Luck to you ...
  • NO because that's not realistic. You'd probably give in during the day and end up eating way more than you planned to initially.
  • You can actually limit your meal intake to one a day but it better be a nutritious meal. Most people cannot do this without easing into it. Many people in the world who are in excellent health eat once a day. If you are considering this, I would ease into it. Make sure you are eating a healthy meal. Make sure your liquid intake is sufficient as well. Three small meals is usually much more practical.
  • If you also exercise,by at least walking around the bock to start. It is a fallacy to think that a person needs to eat three meals a day to be healthy. One can eat one meal a day or even miss a day of eating without any harm to the body.I sometime eat nothing for days if I am not hungry.Weight loss does require one to do more than just not eating as many meals.
  • no you'll gain weight as the body starts using those fats you got.
  • First your metabolic rate will slow down to compensate for lack of intake. You will than lose muscle - yes you are now losing weight. You will then kell over from lack of energy and may pass out from a chemical inbalance - may go into shock and a coma with time. Yes you will lose weight.
  • yes, you will loose weight but you can't live on a diet like that forever. Its better if you can eat 5 small meals a day along with exercise. But keep your calories under a certain number. I am a woman and on most days my total caloric intake is less than 1300 kcal. I have lost 17 lbs slowly which is the best way to loose weight. This can become a healthy lifestyle. I plan on loosing 4 more lbs. I walk everyday for 45 minutes for my exercise. But it goes without saying that its very important to establish healthy eating habits. Lots of fresh frutis and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, non-fat milk and non-fat yogurt, fish, an ocassional treat by all means will be fine. Stay away from all greasy and fried foods.
  • yes, and your mind will go next
  • No. Your body will go into starvation mode and begin storing calories as fat. But eating a big breakfast will help kick start your metabolism, as long as you follow up with 2 small healthy meals and a small snack.
  • yes If you only ate one cornflake per day you would lose weight But its too extreme and will shock the body and make you very ill
  • Cutting down on fatty foods and portion sizes is the healthiest way to go. Skipping meals is not healthy. Your metabolism will be screwed up and your body will go into starvtion mode. Talk to your doctor. I talked to mine and he recommended Weight Watchers to me. I lost and kept off over 80 lbs, and also got my bp and cholesterol back to normal.
  • I don't see why it won't work. I have been only eating lunch since I was 12. I am now 16. I am in excellent health. I just can't eat anything when I get up. When I started not eating supper on days when I would stay after school for sports. I was on the fat side then now I am 5'8" and 125 to 127LB all the time.
