If I switch from Tri-Sprintec birth control to Yaz, am I immediately protected? I took a full pack of TS then switched to Yaz after my period.

I would wait just a bit. It may take a bit for the new pill to kick in just like any other medicine. So wait atleast a week or two before doing anything.
Or call the doctor up, they should know about how long it should take for you to be ok.

You should be OK on this, ultimately the medications will work in very similar ways. Just to be safe, wait a week so that Yaz is fully in your system, but I really don't think you'd have a problem. Everyone's body is a little different, so there may be a slight adjustment period for you...but like I said I really don't think you'll have any issue.
