Where can I get a direct download of Microsoft Powerpoint? (it can be illegal or legal/free or not free)

    The answers giving you legal alternatives to powerpoint are fine. Any answer advising you how to download an illegal copy of this program would be in violation of Answerbag terms of use and will likely be removed by admin. If you really want Powerpoint, you should purchase it from Microsoft.

    Try Limewire or BitTorrent. This requires downloading the entire set, however, you can choose to just install Powerpoint. I think it's legal if you own the disc already and something is malfunctioning.

    Otherwise, there are other options such as OpenOffice.org, where you can download free, legal programs that work exactly like Microsoft Powerpoint and are readable as Microsoft Powerpoint files. This is actually recommended, since there's a chance of viruses using other methods.

    You can get a simlar program called OpenOffice for free and you won't run into any risk with the law.

    oh "mininova.org" THE Sexiest place to search for required torrents.

    And sexy oooooooooh "OO.org", i.e "OpenOffice.org" is good too. You can save your files in MSOffice format as well.
