I'm having car trouble trouble starting feels laggy not picking up speed and of course check engine light is on 04 vw jetta gls 1.8 t

    There are 100's of reasons a code would come on. Any self respecting garage will read the code for you and give you an estimate beforehand what its going to cost. There could be something wrong that causes more damage by using the car. Get the car scanned as soon as possible, it only takes a few minutes. Jetta's are notorious for being expensive to fix. Good luck.
