Not right away. Getting a first degree black belt is just a beginning. You will find that most good instructors are third degree black belts or higher. They have mastered the basics and put in years of practice for more advanced skills. You can eventually become a kickboxing instructor. You can't do years of kickboxing and expect to teach kung fu. Get your black belt and ask your instructor if you can help out with teaching some of the newer people.

... depends on where ... in some places this sort of thing is strictly controlled & requires permits & certificates ... and in other places anyone (even a white belt) can become an instructor as long as they can pay to open a school ...

Belts mean nothing. Remember that. I am a green belt but still sometimes when my teacher is missing I am teaching the class. I have gone to fights. Belts are just bought with money. It's the experience you got that makes you a teacher and your ability to teach. Even if you train for 1.000 days, you will still be an amateur, but if you train for 10.000 then you will become a master.
