Yes i agree. I don't worry whether or not i am politically correct. It seems like a way to keep people from telling the truth.

yes....but being "politcally correct" only applies to some..others don't have to be, they can discriminate and voice what they please because they are "righteous", ENTITLED..... political correctness is of "unscrupulous and biased" origins and its INCORRECT ...

'Picking up a turd by the clean end'. Excellent metaphor. Discrimination is discrimination in any form, by anybody, towards anybody. It is not a tool to be used for one's own agenda. It is a turd.

Some things classed as political correctness are just politeness enforced by a group other than the cultured class. . But in general I agree with you. It is also a mistake to make any group of people immune to criticism.

the term has degenerated into a meaningless political slur used to silence anyone who disagrees with the opinion of the far right whether the disagreement is valid or not. If a racist wants to say "nigger", "spic" or "kike" anyone who has a problem with it is accused of "political correctness" and that changes the subject from the actual usage of the word into a death over "political correctness". The fact that nobody uses it except as a slam against the opposition pretty much confirms that the term has no real use except as an insult or diversionary tactic.

You clearly are either not old enough to remember or you choose not to remember a world before political correctness. Being PC is about avoiding the vocabulary of hate. It is a powerful thing to remove hate from our language and encourage people not to speak openly that way. It makes the world a better place to live for everyone. I don't think children should grow up using words like nigger, chink, wop, greaser and kike. That's how it used to be, it was ugly and nasty and I'm glad it's gone. You have hit the nail square on the pointy end. You have it completely backwards. You cannot avoid being PC and avoid hate. There is no clean end to that turd.
