I saw an amazing local singer live. She had an assortment of good original songs.

I've come to like several of Lily Allen's songs, especially The Fear and Alfie. I also like Evanescence a lot. Those are from the "recent" category. For older music I really love Marillion's Fish years as well as Depeche Mode. For Italian music nothing beats Marco Masini.
