Two things:
1) Actor.
2) "Solved" stagflation. (He really didn't, the economy just happened to get better while he was in office.)
These answers are funny. All during the '80's the economy boomed, and every Liberal complained that it was the 'decade of greed'. Reagan's tax policy was what drove the economy up. It didn't 'just happen'. Obama could learn a thing or two from him.
I guess all are honored even if they did not have a good presidency, and made many mistakes.

Thank you for the answer. I'm proud to be American and I hate it when people trash talk the country, but I'm also no fan of Reagan, and I was curious as to why he is mentioned so often. Good answer, and I think you are right. I was born in 1990.

I was. And it wasn't. He tried to blow sunshine up America's ass... and many did feel good. But he did very little of substance.

Attack on grenade? Hostages for missiles? Ollie North? Black funding from drug sales? His goofy "I don't recall" defense (that wasn't Alzheimer's)?

I didn't. Your country did... But the Regan years were sorta like the Republican version of the Sex Drugs and Rock-n-Roll years of the 60's for liberals.

Mostly fantasy. Fond memories. And will be paying for it for the rest of their lives.
