In the high-profile cases that come to mind, the celebrity was either unknown or just starting out on a career with a few thousand other competent actors or performers. *Then* they got into Scientology, hoping to improve their ability to act, sing, whatever. In many cases, Scientology helped them break through some personal barrier that was holding down their performances, and after those breakthroughs their careers blossomed. So Scientology attracts people who want to better themselves. The high-profile celebrities you hear about are just the most stellar examples of how that has happened. So *of *course* they are positive and vocal about Scientology. Wouldn't you be? (There are also breakthrough examples in engineering, business, and in other fields, but those fields don't get the headlines that movie stars get.)
