Help answer this question below.

A old man once told my wife and I that "Women will never be able to understand the sexual needs of a man, and that men will never be able to understand the emotional needs of a woman. Love and respect will help you have a long marriage." Agree or not?

    That was his experiences doing the talking. Experiences are largely formed by how we view them. And, his experiences will be compltely different from someone else's.

    To say "never" encourages people to give up prematurely without ever trying. For that reason, I disagree.

    Close enough. The men and women who do try to reach understanding of the other sex will usually just achieve frustration. But the last sentence couldn't be truer.

    I have got to disagree on this one because it is a big statement that promotes generalization, we are not all equal, therefore I don't think that this statement speaks for all men and woman's point of view.

    It seems to me that this is a statement made by a man who has been misunderstood many times and has philosophized profoundly.
    I do agree that love and respect will help you have a happy marriage.

    When the old man says hat women will "never" be able to understand and that man "will never" understand, it's plain wrong, never mid almost insulting.

    Disagree. Sounds like a guy who cheated on his wife and tried to fob it off as a mans sexual needs not being understood. Love and respect are good points, the rest is garbage.

    Generalization is sometimes founded in truth. Women are not physically designed to understand the sex drive of man. They may say they do, but in reality not the full extent that men do. And the same is true for men understanding the strong emotions of a woman. I agree with him 1000%.

    Love and respect are definitely needed with that I agree I do not agree with the previous statement that a man cannot understand a womans emotional needs.

    I think some men are very good at understanding their partners needs.
