Sold snow cones, household chores, once I set up a "petting zoo" and charged the neighborhood kids money to pet snakes,salamanders, rabbits, and hamsters that my siblings and I had growing up

Household chores.
That, and collecting empty bottles and cans for recylcling (get the refund on the 5 cent deposit).

I asked my dad. He was a soft touch and the reason I had so many problems being financially responsible at 16 and beyond. I love him, but I wish my parents would have taught me how to earn and stuff when I was young.

washed my brothers hair and lotion it while he played video games with his friends
gave my mom leg massages
put my nephew to sleep while my sister cleaned and cooked
