  • A theory has been put forward that the bulk of the pryamid, the blocks, were not cut and transported, but were actually moulded 'in situ' . Formwork was placed and crushed rubble mixed with ' a special concoxion', were put in the mould. Three sides of the block being moulded were against the previous ' poured' block, making a close fit. It has been claimed that a knife blade cannot be inserted between the blocks even now. Further proof is that whole shells that formed the limestone, [ from millions of years previously] SHOULD have been all laying flat and level, just as they had when the limestone was formed. But the claimant of the theory states that the shells were in all different directions, indicating that the limestone was roughly crushed out of its former solid state and then re-moulded into the blocks. What we do NOT have now is the recipe for the liquid that was mixed with the rubble. It was said that it was produced in an area in central Arabia, and when the supply from there was no longer available, it brought pyramid building to a halt. The theory answers the problem of the tremendous job of transporting stone blocks. There were none. just many millions of baskets of rubble. It does not deny the fact that the Egyptian workers were not slaves but considered the work an act of worship. It does not deny the wall pictures of men dragging blocks. These were the capping stones only which made up only a small amount of the volume. It does explain how so many pyramids were built in Egypt in a relatively short period of time. Comments on this 'theory' are invited.

  • I do not see how this "moulded limestone blocks", could carry the sheer weight of the Pyramid. Lime was used; but only for the plaster coating of the finished pyramid.
  • The theory of a liquid lime stone solution is rediculous. Do you actually think that this feat could not be repeated today? If with our present technology we cant reproduce this effect why do you think it was possible in the past. There is no magic to chemistry. It is what it is a calculated reaction between chemicals. Please do not add unsubstantiated responses here. There are examples of granite walls in peru that are closely placed in curved and jigsaw like blocks. Granite being even harder to mold than simple sand stone or limestone. These blocks are also impossible to stick a blade between. So are we to suppose that a chemical made it possible to reform granite blocks in molds. No, we must assume good old fashion work. something most people cannot believe on the scale they were built. I must also point out the largest pyramid in the world is not in egypt it is in central america. Do research and free your mind
