SERIOUSLY!!!! ha ha ha wow. The russians are still very prevalent in the NHL. Just have a look see at the MVP finalist for this year. Evgeni Malkin,Pavel Datsyuk, and Alex Ovechkin are all ruskies. Pretty much all the skill in the NHL (besides Sidney Crosby) is all Russian based.

tx for the answer. as a Red Wingnut, I'm very much aware of Malkin about now! and Datsyuk is set to play in the next game.
but I beg to differ--the Red Wings were all Russians a few years back, I mean HALF Russian! but now we have a whole lot of respectable Swedish talent. (Captain Lidstrom, Zetterburg etc)
