The legal right to do what I want with my own body, or together in a group of mutually consenting participants, that is peaceful and doesn't harm non-participants.

Picking up my phone and not having to wonder who else may be listening.

Being able to make a decision with my doctor that is best for me and NOT the most cost effective treatment for an HMO.

Picking who I choose to love and marry.

Doing what I want, for however long I want, when I want, with whom I want or not doing anything at all! :)

The ability to make decisions about my own life without someone else weighing in, even if the decision will utlimatly ruin my life, I am free to make it.

That, and a car with a full tank of gas-- at least in America you can't get very far without a working vehicle and a lisence.

    ALF - Gordon Shumway

There's a scene, in the movie "Crocodile Dundee," where Walter has dropped off Mick & Sue to search for the spot where Mick was attacked. As Walter bids them goodbye, he says ...

Walter Reilly: "Right, well, ah. 'Till Wednesday. Cheerio"
    Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: "Wednesday"
[Walks off, pauses, turns back to Walter]
Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: "What's today, Wal?"
    Walter Reilly: "Monday"
    [Mick walks away]
Walter Reilly: "Doesn't know. Doesn't care. Heh! Lucky Ba$tard."

In another scene, Mick is asked how old he is. He replies, "Dunno."

So my answer is ... "Not being tied down by the clock or the need to prove who you are on paper." Of course, I don't enjoy those freedoms, but that is a part of my idea of being free.
