  • I would put paramedics up at number 1, then fire and police.
  • its matters what type of problem , if its a fire, its the firemen who get people out of a fire the the paramedic comes in then the police are always there.
  • I consider that all are equally important. Each of these services deals with different types of emergencies. While each of the three services in some ways can do some of the other two services jobs, ie. police and firemen can perform CPR and use defibs, some paramedics are trained to enter burning buildings as part of a rescue effort and both paramedics and firemen would have some effect in crowd control in emergency situations, each individual service offers services specific to themselves. Firemen don't investigate murders (except in burnt out buildings?), nor do they offer the range of services that a paramedic can offer, especially a MICA (in Australia), police don't put out fires in burning building or fight bushfires, and paramedics don't arrest people or catch crims. Each service while 'stand alone' relies on the other two for support in emergencies and this makes all three of them equally important and effective. In my opinion.
  • There all 3 team work services and that's the most important thing - I appalled them all
  • they are all equally important, but I tend to favor police because they have formal "Balls".
  • We need them all. I used to work EMS. If there is a violent crime, we can't treat the patient until PD clears the scene. If it is a wreck, we cant get the patient out of a bad wreck until the FD cuts them out. One would not work without the others.
  • I will go with police because they serve and protect. Without them the other two can't do their jobs.
  • There is no one "most important" when it comes to the emergency services. The police and ambulance teams are pretty useless at putting out fires. The ambulance and firemen are pretty useless at everyday law enforcement. The police and firemen are pretty useless at emergency medical help (beyond simple chest compressions and mouth to mouth or emergency wound dressing).
  • No answer to that one--they all have their specialties. But, in a pinch I'd pick firemen, because they could shock me back to life, put out the fire, keep me alive until the paramedics arrive, and call the cops to catch the guy who started the fire.
  • Police. They're more versatile and more trained in different areas.
  • the pizza delivery person.
  • Well, without the Police Tim Hortons would go out of business.
