Sometimes they leap out of the tank. Have you checked behind the tank and/or on the floor?

...hmm, if ya got a cat...that is the obvious...or he might have gotten scared and jumped outta your tank. I had the problem once. Look around on the floor real good...or he might have gotten stuck on a curtain or sumpin. :S

you have to keep some type of lid on the tank. if you didn't, it probably jumped out. mine did that a lot. or if you have something like a cat or dog.. they scoop them right out if they can. it can be anywhere if that's the case.

Depends on how big your fish was. If still small, it could have been eaten by other fish. sorry.

Neutron bomb. You won't be safe from it, even inside a tank.

"ER weapons are meant to kill a much higher percentage of enemy personnel inside such protected environments through the release of a higher percentage of their yield in the form of neutron radiation, against which even tank armor is not very effective."

Fish run away from home for a variety of reasons, too much fighting in the house, loss of privileges, no high speed internet access...I wouldn't worry they usually return after they see the big world out there is not what they thought it would be!

If you have any other, bigger fish then probably missing one became a meal. If not, sometimes fish jump out of the tank an then jump more and more until they dead or until your dog/cat find it. If you dont have a dog/cat, you will probably find it somewhere behind the desk.

Maybe he went up that machine that circulates air into the water (like in Finding Nemo) Or he might have died and is laying in the bottom of the tank?
